The easy-to-install flat cables, don’t need bulky fillers, which results in a more lightweight, flexible and nearly invisible design.

Unlike circular power cords that tend to kink when utilized in confined area applications, Cicoil’s flat cables are not prone to wire breakage, tearing and operational failure when exposed to tight bending, flexing, mechanical stress and harsh environments. In addition, Cicoil’s ultra-flex power cables are made from high quality, oxygen free copper wire and are specially heat-treated for maximum ductility, performance and corrosion resistance.

Cicoil's patented computer-controlled extrusion process allows individual power conductors to be placed in a flat parallel profile, precisely controlling the spacing of each component, insulation thickness and the overall cable shape. This ensures that each of the internal conductors do not rub against each other and wear during operation.  The Flat cables also have greater surface-to-volume ratio than their round cable counterparts, consequently having higher efficiency in dissipating heat. This allows a higher current level for a given temperature rise and conductor cross-section.

The unique outer jacket is self-healing from small punctures and will not wear, crack, deform or become brittle due to long term exposure to vibration, sunlight, temperature extremes (-65°C to +165°C), acid rain, fungus, alcohol, mechanical stress, humidity, ozone, UV light and many chemicals.  In addition, cable strength is enhanced by the fact that all conductors equally share tensile loads.

The Crystal-Clear Jacket also allows for quick, easy and safe inspection of cables in just about any application.  Unlike cables infused with color additives and possible contaminants, the Flexx-Sil™ rubber design offers complete transparency, so you won't need to be concerned about what's under the jacket.  It also includes the following benefits: Confirmation of Design Continuity, Ease of Troubleshooting for Wire Breakage and Simplified Termination of Parallel Wires to Connectors.

Standard "off the shelf" Hi Flex Power Cables are available for immediate delivery and cable assemblies, complete with connectors are offered in 3 foot, 6 foot and 12 foot lengths.  Cicoil offers custom hybrid designs and low-friction coating options by request.

The non-particulate generating cable is Halogen-Free, RoHS & REACH Compliant and is cured continuously, with no debris or material contamination in an automated, climate controlled environment.  In addition, the cable passes UL/CSA VW-1, FT 1 & FT 2 and UL 94V-0 flammability testing.
