Cicoil’s flat cables have a greater surface-to-volume ratio than their round and flat cable counterparts, consequently having higher efficiency in dissipating heat. This allows a higher current level for a given temperature rise and conductor cross-section. The spacing of conductors never changes, and each one is separately encased to form a solid, one-piece construction, precisely controlling the jacket thickness and overall cable shape.
Unlike most cables, Cicoil’s designs utilize high quality Oxygen-free copper that is specially heat-treated for maximum ductility, corrosion resistance and enhanced electrical & thermal conductivity. In addition, Cable strength is enhanced by the fact that Cicoil’s wire has 2-3 times more base strands than competitive flexible wire and all conductors equally share tensile loads.
