CICOIL, the leader in high performance flat cable and cable assemblies for over 60 years, is seeking Application Engineers in our Valencia, California headquarters. Application Engineers work directly with our customers and salespeople, to design and apply our leading-edge cable technology to a wide variety of industry applications. Our customers include top companies in Military, Aerospace, Medical and Automation industries, as CICOIL electrical cables perform mission-critical functions in sophisticated, automated electro-mechanical machines and systems. Successful candidates need to be degreed engineers, with excellent communication skills, and ideally with a working knowledge of electrical interconnect systems.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing customer quotations for new cables and cable assemblies.
• Providing direct technical support to customers, and to Cicoil’s salesforce.
• Designing and developing cables and cable assemblies, to meet customers’ requirements.
• Preparation, interpretation and review of engineering drawings, specifications, electrical schematics, wire diagrams, wiring list and other engineering related documentation.
• Working closely with CICOIL manufacturing and Quality Control personnel to ensure timely production and delivery of cables and cable assembly products.

As a successful candidate you will have:

• An Electrical, Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering degree.
• At least two years’ experience working in a design and/or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling. Working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks is a plus.
• Communication, organizational experience and teamwork skills.
• Initiative, focus and commitment to completing tasks successfully.
